Wow... Which program did you use to make this? Is the background a photo? I really like how everything is earthy in colour apart from a few bits of blue sky and how the very limited colour range in the foreground, it makes the foreground really stand out. How did you create the effect in the foreground that makes it look almost like it was done with pencil or charcoal? I'm really impressed with how realistic this is, I thought it was all a photo from the small view. Great composition and lighting, too.

The sky is effectively a photo that I took some weeks ago! Tough, I modified it, so it matches better with the drawing style of the man who is effectively done with a pencil! =)

This is a masterpiece! Drawing those skin tones aren't the easiest thing to do and you've managed to carry over such amazing detail in it. Coupled with that awe striking background, you've really set a standard for all your artwork to follow. It's a genious piece and definately recieves a :+fav: from me!

The background and the portrait work together wonderfully. Again, I really like the texture, the lights and shadows on the portrait. The proportions of the face aren't exactly the same as the photo I believe you've used for reference, but the face is still instantly recognisable. Beautiful work.
